Directly adjacent to the door, there is a single white desk with a matching chair. The desk has one drawer on each side. On top of it, they will see a laptop. It is open and running, casting a dim light. An open bag of Doritos sits next to it, along with an open can of Dr. Pepper. Two speakers are set on top of the desk, connected to the laptop. Also connected to the laptop is................ an entire wall of monitors.
That is to say, there are 15 LED display monitors mounted on the wall above the desk and laptop. Thirteen of them show an external view of the cabins the campers have been assigned, from Ant to T-Rex Dragon cabin. However, Heart, New Moon and Snowflake cabins are included in three of these thirteen monitors. Another monitor shows a shot of the bonfire, steadily burning away. The monitor smackdab in the middle of the 15 shows nothing but a black screen and the words CCTV SET A (LIVE).
Sure would be nice to have someone who knows A Technology right about now, huh.]

Which is odd, considering the fact that it's empty. Seated at the desk, however, he will get to take a better look at the laptop. The keyboard is WASD, and lights up in rainbow colors. Checking the laptop screen, he will see that the program that is currently open is S****Y. Too bad none of them know about ABBA's greatest hits album... That said, there's another program running and visible in the taskbar. It simply reads CMPNTGN.
It is very unfortunate that he will understand literally none of this. Good lord.

They will see a couple of the other campers milling about, perhaps entering or exiting their cabins.

Only the Recycle Bin is available from the desktop.

[Now that the 15 monitors are pitch black, the only source of illumination is the laptop. It doesn't have a touchscreen, but Giyuu placing his hand over the screen certainly doesn't help matters. They are now, for all intents and purpose, moving around in the dark. While they can still see each other as long as they stick close to the laptop, everything else is... well. Difficult. That said, Giyuu ripping the speakers out doesn't make the music stop. There's a screech as the speakers are roughly disconnected, the laptop jostling as the speakers hit the ground, before the music continues playing — now directly from the laptop itself. But at least the volume is manageable now.
It's a little hard to see beyond what's immediately around the laptop, but Shinobu will notice that there are all sorts of cables hooked up to it. Literally every port in the laptop is connected to something, save for the speakers. Those are gone now. But, hey! Good news. Since Giyuu is covering the image on the screen, her headache won't worsen. Blood continues to slowly drip from her nose, as well as Dimitri's, but that's fine.
Meanwhile, Dimitri is free to wheel himself back! Visibility is a little low, so he may have trouble jotting shit down... But that's not what matters. As he wheels back, the chair hits something solid.
It does not feel like the wall or door. Those are too far away.
From his periphery, a finely manicured hand reaches over to pluck the pencil from his hand.]

[Dimitri slashes into the darkness behind him — and his dagger makes contact with something. Flesh. Someone hisses. The blade comes away bloody. With the small amount of light afforded to them by the laptop, Dimitri will see a familiar silhouette. Long black hair and ruby red lips. As she stares back at him, clutching her upper arm, Dimitri will have no trouble recognizing her. The girl's eyes look dead. She does not hold a pencil in her hands.
Still, she whispers a soft, terrified:]

[And then Shinobu roughly disconnects the laptop, meeting just the slightest bit of resistance from the cables connected to the wall and monitors before they all come loose. The machine goes wild, letting out a stream of beeps and error sounds while Dancing Queen is cut short. The soft whirring of the fans goes wild. The screen goes blue, a series of white letters displayed across the screen — and then the laptop shuts down entirely, plunging them into darkness.
Something sparks from behind the desk, close to the floor.

it doesn't affect him as someone(s) here as it does remind him of a weight he keeps carrying with him. worse of all that there are two conflicting instructions that happen within giyuu when shinobu tells him to cover for dimitri because of something that they've spoken about. not shinobu and him but between giyuu and dimitri and he—there's time for ask for forgiveness later.
because as soon as giyuu hears the voice, he'll reach out blindly into the dark and hopefully grab dimitri's arm to pull him back away from the sound of the voice. he can take care of himself and all of that but... there's a time and a place for that later because the sudden smell of smoke has giyuu shuffling things again. ]

It's a little hard to see beyond what's immediately around the laptop, but Shinobu will notice that there are all sorts of cables hooked up to it. Literally every port in the laptop is connected to something, save for the speakers. Those are gone now. But, hey! Good news. Since Giyuu is covering the image on the screen, her headache won't worsen. Blood continues to slowly drip from her nose, as well as Dimitri's, but that's fine.
Meanwhile, Dimitri is free to wheel himself back! Visibility is a little low, so he may have trouble jotting shit down... But that's not what matters. As he wheels back, the chair hits something solid.
It does not feel like the wall or door. Those are too far away.
From his periphery, a finely manicured hand reaches over to pluck the pencil from his hand.]

Kocho... [ he's close enough to definitely see the two of them with their nosebleeds but given the situation they can sort that out later. he's going to keep his hands to obscure the image despite not knowing if it is doing anything for better or worse.
it's not as though there's anything else that they can do for the moment other than what they are already doing. clearly the laptop is vital (they don't understand how vital) to figuring something out, plus it's a clue and they need everything they can get. does it have recordings? is it how the recordings work?? what is technology. ] I agree. It takes a movement for him to arm himself again, paper crumpled in one hand and dagger drawn in the other when he suddenly bolts out of the chair, slashing into the darkness behind them.Â
His voice grits out, hoarse and dark with urgency. Was he... seeing things? It's never been that tangible— ]

[ Anyone who comes to them in the dark is suspect (never mind that theyâre the ones who caused everything to fo dark). Even if she canât see who, surely Dimitri wouldnât react to nothing.
She is going to try to disconnect the laptop from everything, not looking at the screen but also not shutting the lid since itâs their only source of light, and grab it if she can. ]

Still, she whispers a soft, terrified:]

[And then Shinobu roughly disconnects the laptop, meeting just the slightest bit of resistance from the cables connected to the wall and monitors before they all come loose. The machine goes wild, letting out a stream of beeps and error sounds while Dancing Queen is cut short. The soft whirring of the fans goes wild. The screen goes blue, a series of white letters displayed across the screen — and then the laptop shuts down entirely, plunging them into darkness.
Something sparks from behind the desk, close to the floor.
The room suddenly smells like smoke.]

it doesn't affect him as someone(s) here as it does remind him of a weight he keeps carrying with him. worse of all that there are two conflicting instructions that happen within giyuu when shinobu tells him to cover for dimitri because of something that they've spoken about. not shinobu and him but between giyuu and dimitri and he—there's time for ask for forgiveness later.
because as soon as giyuu hears the voice, he'll reach out blindly into the dark and hopefully grab dimitri's arm to pull him back away from the sound of the voice. he can take care of himself and all of that but... there's a time and a place for that later because the sudden smell of smoke has giyuu shuffling things again. ]
