On Monday afternoon, regardless of where Akira currently is, he will soon find a familiar blue infant mini lop at his feet, circling around him before zooming its way back to the directors' office. It will continue hounding him until he follows, leading him into the door marked 3B ❄️. As enters, he'll get the urge to check his travel guide and upon opening it he will find new rules updated for his eyes and his eyes alone. Rules for a Safety Counselor 2.) Should this camper be targeted for murder, the Safety Counselor will be promptly notified so they may intercept the would-be-murderer. While it is up to the Safety Counselor to decide how to intervene, they must keep in mind that death is a part of the competition. After reviewing the rules, Akira will notice that Winter is seated at their desk. Were they always there...? Oh, well. They plop the bunny down on their lap and gesture at one of the two seats on the other side of the desk. "Hey, Safety Counselor. Let's talk." |

[reaches out to give Bluekie. . . a plum!! plums for Bluekie!!]
Chuuya. Escha. Lili. Dick. Sanji. The first three because I worry someone might target them based on the suspect pool this weekend.
Dick because I think he's worth protecting, even if he disagrees.
. . . and Sanji because he's our Guidance Counselor.
[EVEN THO SANJI WOULD BE PISSED TO KNOW AKIRA USED HIS ROLE TO SHIELD HIM]
no subject
Yeah... I can see how all of those are reasons to be worried. It sucks, but anyone could be targeted over the littlest thing. [a pause.] I take it you spoke with Sanji, then?
no subject
I did. Unsurprisingly, I was the first person he checked.
[a pause]
And I was right. That role does belong to Heart.
no subject
You were. But I couldn't just tell you that. [wiggles their finger back and forth at him, like no.] You sure made me work hard to dodge your question.
no subject
[har har]
Now I just need to figure out what Shadows' deal is. That one is a little. . . harder.
[because they only had detectives and a doctor in Blues, so he has no clue what other roles may be in play]
no subject
[a light shrug.]
Since you gave me a run for my money-- Tell me what you two boys talked about. A wizard doesn't know all the details, you know.
no subject
[. . . eyeing them curiously]
He told me about his special role, and I told him about mine. I gave him the list of people I thought about protecting, though I didn't tell him who I eventually settled on.
Annnnnd then he told me never to protect him, no matter what. Which is stupid, so.
[WAVES A HAND]
no subject
Yeah... Sanji's that kind of person, isn't he? He's such an idiot.
[they sound a little fond even as they say this, though.]
no subject
Been talking to him a lot? You sound pretty fond of him.
[he seems happy with that, though]
no subject
Hey, Director-Camper confidentiality.
no subject
I don't think that's actually a thing.
[but!! he won't press]
. . . either way, that's all I had for you. You wanted to show me something?
no subject
[...a pause. they shuffle in their seat.]
Right. Okay. Um... Look, I'm going to show you something-- but only if you promise not to freak out or tell anybody. I'm serious. It can't leave this room.
no subject
[. . . well. . .]
I promise.
[but there's a flicker of concern on his expression, and he absolutely isn't promising not to freak out. because usually when someone asks him that they're going to show him something worth freaking out over!!]
1/2
[they take a deep breath, rising from their chair to walk past akira and toward the door. they click the lock, and then spin on their heel to face him.]
Remember, you promised.
[and without waiting for his response, they reach for their hat.]
no subject
Um... [A beat.] Hi?
1/2 I'M FUCKING SCREAMING
[what]
[what!!!]
[for a moment, he's stunned, just staring at her with brows raised and mouth falling open]
[???!?!?!??!!]
no subject
Oh.
You're really cute.
[I MEAN HE KNEW THAT BUT WHY IS THIS WHAT HE DECIDES TO SAY WHEN HE ISN'T QUITE SURE WHAT ELSE TO SAY??]
no subject
SHE PRESSES HER FACE
TO HER HANDS.]
Really.
[Akira please focus.]
no subject
I-- yes. Sorry, I wasn't sure what to say. . .!
[sheepish]
Is this what you really look like?
no subject
God. Okay. That's— Yes. This is my real face. [Wait. Haltingly, awkwardly:] Thanks for calling me cute?
[The teens are doing great.]
no subject
You're welcome. I meant it, by the way! I could tell from your personality, but-- I mean. . .
[anyway]
Why are you showing yourself to me now?
no subject
Um... Basically? I'm kind of bending the rules. I couldn't do it before, but I think it's— safe? Safer? Whatever. I don't know.
[She rubs her face, walking back to the desk to sit down.]
But I couldn't do shit until now. That's why.
no subject
[he sounds a bit breathless, but he's finally starting to compose himself, so!!]
That's a good sign, right? [he asks as he follows her to the desk] If you can bend the rules a little more each week, then--
[then maybe she and Heart and Shadows can shatter them later on]
no subject
[She shrugs, glancing at Bluekie as he does what a Bluekie does.]
You've been pretty nice to us even though we lied to you by promising that, um, everything would be okay.
no subject
[he takes a seat on the other side of the desk, his smile soft and lopsided]
It's because I believe all three of you really wanted things to be okay.
[even if they. wound up being super not okay]
Despite the way it looks, I'm not naive, and I'm not an idiot. I suspect you've lied to us about a lot of things at this point. [oh] Either because you can't tell us the truth, or because you think it's better that we don't hear it.
But as long as the one thing you're not lying about is wanting us find a way to tear down this game, then. . . [another pause. . . and a nod] Then I can forgive the rest of it.
