On Monday afternoon, regardless of where Beau and Wei Wuxian are, they will each soon find the large gray flemish giant at their feet, circling around them before zooming its way back to the directors' office. It will continue hounding each of them until they follow, leading them into the door marked 3D 🌑. As they each enter, they'll get the urge to check their travel guide, and upon opening it they will find new rules updated for their eyes and their eyes alone. Rules for Ghosts 2.) On certain weeks, however, the team leader may task the Ghosts with eliminating one person from the competition in addition to their normally assigned task. 3.) While assignments require that both Ghosts collaborate, that is not necessarily the case when eliminating a camper. While both must come to an agreement on who to eliminate, it is not necessary that both become involved in the act itself. It is up to the Ghosts' discretion to decide if they will act as accomplices to each other, or only send one of their own to carry out the task. After reviewing the rules, whichever of them arrives first will see Black Shadows seated at their desk. Were they there a moment ago...? Hm. Well. Their Director gives them a nod, gesturing for them to sit in one of the two chairs provided. "Please sit. Will begin when both are present. May ask questions then, for both to hear answers." |

...What is an activities counselor...
no subject
I don't have any fucking idea! What if that's important!
no subject
[HE DOES NOT THINK WEN NING WILL BE ABLE TO ANSWER BUT IT'S WORTH A SHOT.]
no subject
Fuck.
no subject
...So! Good news, in a worst case scenario where we're the supposed "winners", she would come back. Bad news, what she's doing with that assigned task may be helping the rest of us. Good news, she shouldn't be impossible to kill! Bad news, she'll still probably be hard to kill, and we can't entirely rely on your ability. I don't have a lot of arm strength, you know, and you're in pieces right now. [PLEASE.] We might be able to narrow down what her ability could be based on the list we have left, but that's still a one in eleven chance of getting the right one with only Dick's movie summaries to go off of...
no subject
Bad news, if we pick someone else, we don't even know what their fucking job might be, so we might be killing someone even more important. [ GUHHHH. ] Fuck, should... should we go for someone else?
How the fuck are we supposed to ask her what she does if we can't talk about what we do?
no subject
Aiyo... Activities counselor, activities counselor... [He's too fuckin ye olde for this man he doesn't know what a camp is!!! HE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT AN ACTIVITIES COUNSELOR IS!!]
--The title may not do us much good anyway, considering how nondescript "ghost" is. What do you think? Is it worth the risk of a difficult kill and the potential loss of a helping hand, to get rid of someone who'd hinder us later? Like you said, there's no guarantee we'd pick someone without a more important job.
no subject
The fact that she's got a role, man, that's... my sticking point, you know? But she's on our team, and we need to fucking balance this out. Purple's already lost two.
I don't know what team Guy is on.
no subject
I don't know what team he's on either, and we want to buy as much time as we possibly can... It'd be better to try cutting the numbers equally. [He brings his thumb up, chewing on it as he mulls things over. Personally, he has a bit of a bad gut feeling about going after 45, but...
Well. It's not like any of their options are ideal.]
...Mm, well. On the boat, if someone with a role died, their job would be inherited by someone else. If Wen Ning doesn't know what happens when one of us dies, it's possible our jobs may get passed along. [Then again there could be only One Activities Counselor and they could be shooting themselves in the foot BUT EH.]
I think-- ...we should go with her, but plan like she's already got a counterattack prepared. She doesn't seem like the kind of person who'd use her ability before Friday just for a voucher, so she'll probably use it against us if she can. Even barring an ability, people like that are dangerous. The farther away we can stay, the better. I'd planned on creating a length of razor wire or something similar so I could leave distinctive marks on someone if I was ever targeted, and had a system of simple code worked out with Dick that I could scribble out quickly in blood if need be. [BECAUSE THOTS ARE PARANOID.] I don't doubt others have similar ideas.
no subject
[ she's got a bad gut feeling too, but... it seems like a better idea in the long run to make sure the teams balance out. ]
Yeah. Let's assume she does, because she probably does. I think she's always prepared to be attacked. I guess we can ask for a weapon, then. Make sure she can't move as much as possible, make sure we don't get too close. Long ranged.
no subject
I know how to use guns, so I could ask for something longer-range. [What if he just asked for a fuckin sniper rifle. i wish he could but he only knows hand guns THAT WOULD BE SO FUNNY THOUGH
Anyway, because i forgot but wwx would not have--]
Ah - but about the division of numbers, it's still possible that there are other roles like us on the other teams. Natalie mentioned earlier that a director hinted that Yu was killed because someone was made aware of the "rocks fall" clause before Thursday. Could have just been a coincidence, but I don't see why we weren't sent out to do the dirty work then and there if they already needed someone to kill. They may be aiming for teams outside of their own, if there are.
[It would be very funny if Friday came and there were 3 dead people from Wen Ning's team.]
no subject
Yeah, I really feel like there's gotta be a version of us for Winter and Purple's teams. Maybe we're rotating every week. Last week it was Purple or Blue team killing, and now it's us, and next week it'll be the last team, until we just repeat.
[ a pause. ] This is so fucking tricky. I hate this.
Ask for whatever you feel comfortable using. I'm just gonna use my power. I don't have the energy for anything else.
no subject
[Maybe they should not target their own teammates in that case, but also??? Actually he's got nothing. He hates this! Murder is so much easier when you have no reason to hide it! This secrecy goes against his nature!! If he's gonna stab someone he wants to announce it to the world, dammit!!!]
I'd be most comfortable with a bow and arrow, to be honest, but that would be a dead giveaway if I had to use it.
no subject
... Can we go over the list one more time? I was set on 45, but she's got a fucking role and I don't want us to fuck ourselves. Just - to make sure we're looking at all our options.
[ a LONG heavy sigh. ]
no subject
After we'd taken our cabinmates off? It was... Guy, Percy, Chuuya, Flayn, Yin Yu, Belph, Ookurikara, Lili, 45, Sanji, Minako, Hikage, Dimitri, and C-3PO.
[YEE.........HAW.]
Of those... I'd rather leave off Belph, Flayn and Sanji. Dimitri, too; he seems quite close to Giyuu and Shinobu.
no subject
Guy's not a threat, as far as I can tell. He's pissed about Yu, though. I don't know Percy, but... he's a teenager and I don't think he's a threat, either. Chuuya is a wildcard. Yin Yu is... quiet, and more dangerous than he wants me to think. Ookurikara and Lili are a unit. I feel like if one of them goes, the other is going to go absolutely nuts.
45 is - well. We've discussed her. Minako's harmless. I don't know a godsdamned thing about Hikage but I know I don't really like him all that much. C-3PO is a fucking ditz. He's an easy target because I don't think people think of him as an actual person.
no subject
[HE HUMS... Well, it's a smaller list, at least.]
For the ones who have the highest potential to be dangerous... Chuuya stays in our cabin and I'm concerned about what Dazai may do if he turns up dead. [Also, he is biased because of THE BOAT but he doesn't need to... say that...]
I've only spoken to Hikage a couple of times, but he does say things in trial sometimes, you know? Yin Yu... To be honest, I'd prefer to leave him alone for now, too. We come from a similar world, and I don't think he'd be an immediate danger.
[If only he knew Yin Yu fuckin killed Wen Ning.]
no subject
Dazai would need to go at the same time or right after Chuuya. Yeah. [ hm. ] Yin Yu, I want to study a bit more.
... Which leaves us with Hikage and 45. [ a beat. she wrinkles her nose. ] He does say some shit in trials. I don't even remember what we talked about on the bus but I remember not liking him, either.
Gut instinct. And I told you I trust those.
no subject
Mm... I feel like-- [He pauses, considers.] ...If we target 45, things may go badly for us.
[HE JUST. DOES NOT TRUST.]
We won't know what team or ability Hikage has, though we know he has a gun. If we go for him over 45, we'll still want to stay at a distance.
no subject
[ yeah it's really just coming down to the role thing, here. ] None of these choices are good. I really would've gone for 45 but I don't want us to fuck ourselves with her role.
I think maybe we should go for Hikage instead, then. If that's what it's down to.
no subject
Mm... I'd rather figure out a little more about what being an activities counselor entails, rather than assume that someone else will take over and risk losing it. [WHY DID SHE HAVE TO HAVE A ROLE.]
So - I would agree, between the two. Hikage is less of a challenge in trials, and I think he's got a decent bond with Stephanie and Belph, but it's a risk I'd be more willing to take.
no subject
Yeah. I don't think Steph or Belph are going to go batshit like Dazai would either. [ she closes her eyes. ] There's no winning here. We just - gotta pick. We gotta go with it. Hikage, then.
It's strategy.
no subject
...Mm. Alright. We can work out the details later.
[They need naps now, after they come up with their lETTER.]
