No it's not anything like that. You're thinking too strongly in guarantees and not enough in possibilities. We can't guarantee anything for sure, but until possibilities are proven impossible...they're possible.

Supposedly. But if I'm honest, I'm not too overly optimistic just yet. All we can do now is play by the rules to at least make sure things don't get worse.

Much. [but already.] The scrunchies themselves don't provide more power and can't earn more power. However, they are meant to protect you from succumbing to any of the more malevolent residuals.

Because I have none. My ability doesn't have any particularly devastating effect, and if this "residuals" thing is true, then it's worth seeing if I can gain a foothold over something... more positive.

Usually that comes with having to face a negative on the way. Without power, that's not possible.

You don't need power to change things and find something positive. And there's nothing else I can give you that I haven't already given everyone else. You're all on equal ground.
