On Monday afternoon, regardless of where 45 is, she will soon find the large gray Flemish giant at her feet, circling around her before zooming its way back to the directors' office. It will continue hounding 45 until she follows, leading her into the door marked 3D 🌑. As 45 enters, she'll get the urge to check her travel guide, and upon opening it she will find new rules updated for her eyes and her eyes alone. Rules for an Activities Counselor 1.) Every Monday, the Activities Counselor will have a choice to make. 2.) This choice may help themselves, provide something to the group, or prove detrimental to the group. The results will not be known until their choice has been made. Good luck. After reviewing the rules, 45 will look up to see Black Shadows seated at their desk, patiently waiting for her to finish looking them over. Were they there the whole time...? But once they see she's done, they give her a nod and gesture for her to take a seat. "Have been given assignment of Activities Counselor. Welcome. Will assist."

[black shadows is present for questioning, and on one wall of the office there is... a dartboard, with a single dart lying on the director's desk. the board has three rings: one yellow, one white, and one green.]

'Activities counselor?' I don't suppose I can get a preview of what the effects of what I do might look like? How detrimental are we talking?

Cannot offer examples, but will not be fatal. No need to worry about killing others with choice.

Assignment is part of the competition, now. Have been chosen to carry it out.

There's really no way to say which is best, is there? Please confirm: I'm to play blindly with everyone's fate and hope for the best, but possibly plan for the worst, not-inclusive of anyone actually dying.

...yes. Something like that. But still have better chances of not having detrimental result, at least. Equal chances of best result.

[when she hits the white ring, it begins to glow, the other colors fading away from the board. black shadows stands, moving over to inspect it, and... pauses a moment before they speak.]

How small of an area can I limit it to? Say for example, one room of a structure? Or will it be the entire structure regardless?

Will depend on structure. Specific room in mind?

It'd be easy enough to warn people away from some of the more cursed rooms in that house just based off of previous experience, even if the place itself seems somewhat defunct now...

Would the center room of the mansion's fourth flour be a valid choice, or?

[interesting. they pause to think, but eventually shake their head.]

Camp locations. Won't work there. Would be a good idea, though.

[that kind of thinking may be part of why she has this job.]

So that doesn't qualify because it isn't part of the camp? Fine, in that case...

[ part of me just really wants to curse the entire mess hall so we can spend an entire trial dealing with it, but unfortunately 45 is more reasonable than i am.

I suppose you're going to say that limiting it to a stall or two out of the several in the baths isn't feasible either. If that's the case, then... perhaps the sports court? It's relatively non-essential compared to the other locations here.

Singular parts of an area would not work, yes. Sports court would be an acceptable choice.

Speaking of parts of camp, though... what is that tree then, anyway?

Will consider sports court to be your choice, then. Suggest avoiding it. Would not suggest trying to hint to others unless you can do it without suspicion-- cannot tell others about assignment.

Tree will transport elsewhere. Safe to go through. Will be able to return.

More residuals, yes. Have taken shape from those of you who know it, but will not have the same problems you all remember.
