Oh, I tend to go both ways. For now though...perhaps sweet? We ought to have some cream still and there's always plenty of sugar. [give them a moment to also fetch some mugs and spoons to prepare the coffee.]

[while they're getting mugs and spoons, she'll fetch sugar and cream. teamwork!]

[teamwork! and once there's sugar and cream, they'll pour her half a mug and mix with some cream and sugar before sliding it over. their own cup is filled and mixed with cream and sugar.]

...it is a little more bitter than I had expected, given the amount of sugar and cream that was used, but it is delicious nonetheless. Thank you.

Yes of course. As I've said it takes some getting used to, though I won't fault you if you don't. [a sip.]

You weren't only here to check on me, were you?

Well... mostly, I wanted to see how you were doing. [she takes a small sip of her coffee] But now that you mention it... as I recall, when I asked about medical supplies before, you suggested I speak to Dick.

I seem to have used a good portion of his supplies, and... I was wondering if there might be some way to replace them for him.

Ah...I see. [they seem to contemplate this.] I may not be able to replace everything, but perhaps one or two things.

I am sure any of them would have helped... they are all very good people.

Thank you, too... for doing what you could to help us. It did not turn out quite as we had hoped, but... the effort is appreciated, all the same.

I wish there was more we can do going forward, especially with the rules changing as they are. But you're right. Many of you are good people who will help each other.

With influence, I believe you can. It will take certain kind of people to guide them, however.

We have a few people here who will make good leaders. [she smiles] ...I will do my utmost to support them!

I know you will. [they seem pleased.] Though I imagine you have the makings of a good leader, too.

Do you not? [they seem equally surprised.]

Well... I suppose I might be able to manage it. But I am more accustomed to providing support to those who lead.

Sometimes those who support are ones who lead, Flayn. There have been plenty of great leaders who only god by due to the activity of their advisors and supporters.

...you may be right. I have never thought about it that way before.

Most people don't, and that's why so many people don't receive the credit they so deserve. I'd prefer to change that.

Ensuring that others get the recognition they deserve... that is an admirable goal, Purple Heart.

Admirable, but more complicated than I feared. It's still one I plan to reach for those who matter most, no matter what it takes.
