Given the way some of you love to talk in circles it's best to clarify. [but they nod.] Just wearing it and having the intention in mind is enough. Wearing it also helps ward off any ill-willed residuals that may have slipped through the cracks. It's actually rather beneficial for you.

That's correct. Because of what's happened with the portal, we really wanted to take precautions to ensure you wouldn't incur massive damage by being interrupted on your way home. We don't know what may have still been lingering...after all, this sticky situation seems to have made its way here without our prior knowledge.

Remnants from your previous locations. It's entirely possible some things are still clinging to you from different pockets of the multiverse.

We're sort of an in-between. This is our camp, and you're here while we work to separate you from whatever may have followed and set the portals right to get you home. Mostly the latter.
