You'd be amazed what one can do out of sheer determination. Coffee? The hail's not really letting up anytime soon.

Tell me about it. As usual, it seems to get worse every week. [but there's some coffee and they set out cream and sugar if Steph wants.] Help yourself.

...I know this is probably really, really inappropriate, but I'd like to ask you a few questions if that's okay. About some things that've happened here.

[ she will dump sugar in hers. like a child. ]

...Winter's cabin. What exactly happened in there? [and then, hurriedly:] I understand if you don't want to go into detail but I'd...just like to know.

[vigilantics]

[ she knew it would be about this, but it still makes her pause. ]

How much do you know, in general?

[gatonina]

Um...I know who you were with, why you went, and who is in that cabin. But other than that, I can only make some guesses.

[vigilantics]

[ she thinks about what to say. ]

We had to do something like a game show. It just got... really intense.

[gatonina]

Considering your injuries, I...figured. You were playing against each other?

[vigilantics]

[ she shakes her head. ]

We were on the same team. Whenever we managed to pass a round as a group, we got to see who was asleep as a reward.

[gatonina]

So you did get to the classrooms after all...nothing else happened? Everyone there was okay? I...how did you pass each round?

[vigilantics]

Mmhm. The classrooms were the safest part of it all, honestly. They were pretty peaceful.

[ that's the easier thing to answer. ]

It... depended on the round. The... game was called 'Reasons You Deserve to Die.'

[gatonina]

...ah. [something about their demeanor changes.] I think I can guess precisely how that went.

[...haha.] How are you feeling after all of that?

[vigilantics]

[ she shrugs. ]

I'll be okay. I can get over it.

[just...a sip.]

Are all of Batman's partners like this? [self-sacrificing and bad at emotional expression.]

[vigilantics]

How dare you imply Batman would ever consider me his partner.

[gatonina]

Listen I've never met the guy, I just know you worked with him before taking up the Batgirl mantle. What else was I supposed to call it?

[vigilantics]

No, I'm just saying, he might sue you for defamation.

[gatonina]

[she may get the sense they're rolling their eyes.]

If it's any consolation, you're better than he is anyway. Based on what I've heard.

Yeah. For sure. [...anyway.] But after all of that, and your injuries...you made it to Winter's cabin. Did anything else happen or stand out to you?
