[after feeding the large grey rabbit, it will head for the door marked with a new moon, giving giyuu temporary access to the hallway to follow it. inside is a quaint office, with black shadows seated behind the desk. they nod to giyuu as he enters, gesturing to the chair across from them.]

Hello. [a short pause.] Understand the lists?

[ giyuu will calmly walk to the chair and take a seat. ]

No, not quite.

[ he's not modern enough to know what the bulk of the names are but some stand out to him. just a handful, unfortunately. ]

I only know a few of the names on it, but I know that you're my leader and the power that I was gifted with matches a name on that list.

[they nod! they knew that he would get there.]

[ closes my eyes.

giyuu stood there for A While trying to think if there was something else before giving up. i'm crying. ]

[the gray bunny leads giyuu back to the new moon office, but black shadows isn't seated this time. they're standing by the window and staring outside, though they don't appear to be watching anything in particular.]

[ shame that giyuu isn't facing them directly. he still has conflicts about what actions he's taking in the matter of all of these but—it is what it is. ]

WEEK 1, THURSDAY

[after feeding the purple bunny, it zooms past giyuu and seems to race down the hall toward a door marked as 3C 💜. the door swings open for the bun and it scampers inside, dashing up a makeshift ramp by the desk to huddle on the desktop. as he enters the room, he'll find purple heart seated at their desk and extending their bandaged hand slowly to pet their bunny's ears. give them a moment before they nod to the chairs before them.]

Good evening, Giyuu. How may I help you?

[ giyuu has been hesitant about trusting any of them but the wound on their hand is a reminder that if it is an act, then it's a very convincing one. once he takes a seat, he pulls out the broken(?) laptop(?) from his kimono and holds it out towards purple heart. ]

This was found in the cabin inside of the woods.

[ which is currently on fire but giyuu suspects that they might know about that. also giyuu's hands/arms are in a state of schrodinger's bandaged. are they? aren't they? eh. ]

I was wondering if you might be able to tell me more about it.

[gatonina]

[purple heart waits patiently, letting themselves glance over giyuu to ensure he isn't totally damaged himself while he's busy picking up the laptop. as he holds it out, they reach for it and gently nudge their bunny over to put the computer down in front of them.]

Ah...you wouldn't be very familiar with computers, would you? [they open the lid, tap the keys, attempt to turn it on...] What did you see on it before you brought it back?

[ giyuu's totally fine outside of his hands and arms being maybe bandaged (or not bandaged??) to make sure his burns don't get infected. ]

Computer?

[ hope that is enough of an answer for purple heart, but he'll keep on going forward with his answers. ]

I didn't see what was on it myself, but it was in a room attached to something where there were other screens—15 of them—that were showing recordings of the cabins and the bonfire.

[ ...hm. ]

Something happened to it that caused Dimitri and Kocho to have nosebleeds.

Yeah. It's a device that's used to store digital information, basically. Like stuff you would write on paper but in a different format. [they pick up the laptop and shake it a little, hearing something rattle around on the inside.]

...probably hooked up to surveillance then. Some sort of frequency might've impacted them enough to cause the breakage of blood vessels. [they attempt to tap on the keys again to try and bring things up on the screen.] The good news is that likely the cabin won't be seeing the light of day again given it caught on fire. The bad news is that this laptop is officially broken. I might be able to salvage the hard drive but we can't really access it to check on it.

[baori]

[ frequency...digital information... he's going to take a moment to commit those words to memory. ]

Surveillance.

[ he doesn't like the sound of that nor does he like the fact that it's broken. all of that—and for what? a broken "laptop"? that's hardly what he wants to hear.... but?? maybe??? ]

Salvage? How would we go about salvaging it? Is it something that you can do? [ something he can request to have done? ] Dimitri was writing down something...a list.

[ he'd be almost pleading if it wasn't wildly ooc. sobs. ]

W2, SATURDAY

[the gray bunny leads giyuu to the petting zoo, where black shadows is sitting in a pile of cats. they're climbing all over them, draping on their shoulders and head, snoozing in their lap.]

Giyuu. Hello.

[they appear to be watching him with some concern.]

Wished to speak?

[ this is sweet wholesome content that giyuu can be here for. he'll join black shadows on the ground but a bit away from the cats and them. he notices how they're wary and he's...rather uncomfortable too. ]

You witnessed the trial... [ obviously. ] I apologize for putting our team and perhaps you in danger.

[some of the cats will trot over to giyuu, at least-- hello, they are here to be pet and fed. shadows just- bows their head slightly.]

Have mentioned need to be careful, before, to everyone. Believe you may have crossed a line.

[but their tone isn't scolding, or judgmental. they still just sound worried.]

Am unsure what to expect, but... do not think it will pass without consequence.

[ the only treats giyuu has with him are not good for kitties so hopefully they don't mind just being petted. soft nyans.... but when black shadows tells him about what he has done.

I understand. [ he'll look at one of the cats for a moment. ] I'll try to be prepared for whatever will happen.

therapy cats u_u but he'll just nod. his track record of being able to take care of himself is piss poor and about to get worse, but he can at least attempt to make an effort. ish. ]
