[ wow, hello mysterious door that happens to be locked. where in the setting are you I'm not even sure, but 45 will just be casually examining the lock until the rest of her party arrives. hey, dps, where are you? ]
[ nods in metaphorical tidings. and since the door doesn't seem to be answering, tonbo will be picking up 45 very politely and- throwing her straight at the door...? whatever works, right fam?
Anyway, I very much hope Minako is out of the way of Gun Bowling, because it's a STRIKE. The door unlocks when Minako knocks, like a polite door, but it doesn't open; that's what 45 is for, though, and she breaks the door right down.
Congratulations, you're in, and behind door number whatever-breakin-this-is they will find....
Huh. It's a nondescript hallway, a little old-looking. A utility passageway more than anything; the lights are bare fluorescent bulbs that flicker as the three of them enter, the door somehow picking itself back up to slam behind them. They are now alone in this empty, silent hall, white tile at their feet, beige paint on the walls. The passageway continues forward.
[ as she uncurls from the way she'd tucked in to make for a better projectile, she eyes the door for a bit before working her limbs out. ]
Here I was hoping that knocking the thing off its hinges would do at least a little to impede the inevitable relocking all of these things do, but I guess if blowing it up didn't work nothing would...
[ she's pretty sure someone in the mansion tried blowing a door up, anyway.
anyway let's get a look at this passageway. is it just the one corridor, nothing to the sides? ]
[ oh good, self repairing and self locking doors. excellent.
Minako will grip her deck brush tighter as she inches her way into the passageway. she's got her ears peeled for any strange noises, like chains rattling or other spooky, ominous sounds. does she hear Death? ]
... When did you get to blow up a door? At the mansion?
[ the fact that the door repaired itself has tonbo clutching his spear a little tighter, squinting dubiously at this apparent haunted object ]
They seem to always be sturdier than one would expect.
[ anyways, with tonbo rounding out this party, he's keeping his eyes on the ceiling for any sudden skittering or whatnot. any more doors to bust down? ]
[Nothing on the ceiling! Just this passageway, extending onwards without branching. Though, as they walk along...
They'll turn a corner, and find this section of hallway contains three doors. One is labeled JANITORIAL, the second is labeled STORAGE, and the third is labeled SUPPLY. These all appear to be standard closets, judging by how closely they're placed together.
I didn't blow anything up. [ outside of the entire bacon at endgame if anyone was actually watching the blues trials but that doesn't count ] But I'm pretty sure the entire mansion heard when someone else tried it.
[ anyway, wow. they found all the stuff shoved into a corner that no one wants to think about. though, wait... ]
... I think the Directors have said that some of our rewards come out of storage? Don't tell me that this is it.
[ but then what was supply and. well. janitorial is self explanatory. ]
[As Tonbokiri opens the door labeled Janitorial, he'll find that there are walls and shelves of...cleaning supplies. Honestly, what did you expect? It's lots of glass cleaning supplies, furniture polish, laundry detergent, dish soap, sponges, rags, you name it, it's there. There's a few mops and brooms in the corner, along with some other buckets for whatever...
...oh. But there's also a large table in the center with a white sheet covering...something large?
[ hm. morgue flashbacks. hey, does the something large look body shaped or sized, or is this like, a bigger something large. ]
... If it's zombies again, then I'm just going to say that I already miss having a functional gun.
[ she's just going to carefully edge into the room and... examine the side walls and shelves first for anything that isn't to be expected because while she's keeping an eye on the middle, she's not triggering the zombie apocalypse. who's gonna be the akechi. ]
as long as the table isn't too suspicious looking (no body shaped lumps outlined by the sheet, no mysterious liquid dripping onto the floor from under it)
Minako will reach out to nudge the sheet aside with her broom handle. ]
Why bother keeping a whole table in a closet anyways...?
[ which means tonbo's hovering right at minako's six, at the ready to pull her behind him if anything starts moving. or growling. or does anything wild. ]
[Well as 45 starts browsing the shelves, she'll notice a few things out of place. Namely, she'll find items meant to clean up corpses but also...polishes for metal? Particularly for swords.
Tonbokiri and Minako can look at this table which is, unfortunately, body-shaped lump-like. And as Minako nudges aside the sheet they'll find themselves looking at a pair of feet.
They might be familiar to Tonbokiri himself, actually.
Perhaps they should pull the sheet off?
The door to the janitorial room slowly clicks shut.]
oh well, if that door really wanted itself shut she doubts that anyone standing by to keep a hold of it would've really done anything. but hm. sword polishes... wouldn't asch have been happy to find this, haha. but she moves to join the other two in body-prodding, apparently, since this apparently is what they're doing.
and it's kind of the obvious focal point of the room, so. ]
If you say so. But be prepared. This place is also likely affected by whatever remnants we carry.
If this was made by a residual, it definitely isn't who we think it is. Not the real one, at least.
[ though admittedly, she isn't thinking of anyone???? who's feet are these, she doesn't recognize them. and she won't recognize the legs or torso or face, as she continues to drag the sheet off ]
[ hm, strange. tonbo's hand tighten around his spear but he makes no move to stop minako, eying the feetsies suspiciously. there's nothing in particular he could say to be like 'wow maybe we should leave that alone!' after all and thus allows it to continue. ]
We cannot say for certain but it's wise to be on guard.
[ because despite holding his tongue, the chances of things getting dicey in the next five seconds are a lot higher than he wants to think about ]
[Well. They maybe should think about what to do because as Minako drags off the sheet they'll find...
...Tonbokiri?
Oh dear. His corpse isn't looking so good, is it? Perhaps he just needs a little bit of cleaning up? He's, uh, covered in a slippery sort of substance, a large collection of bruises forming what looks like a singular large vertical bruise. Ouchie :(]

well, whatever! Minako comes wandering in, summoned by the Mysterious Door Vibes, with the real dps somewhere behind her ]
Huh... has that always been here?
[ she will also approach! and reach out to knock on the door ]
no subject
Do you think it can be opened?
[ he's already rolling up his (metaphorical?) sleeves ]
no subject
If this is anything like the last times this has happened, then certainly. We could try more conventional methods, or, if that doesn't work...
[ eyes his metaphorical sleeve rolling up, hmmm
metaphorically skips on over to whisper sweet yeetings into his ear. feel free to try the doorknob like a regular person in the meantime, minako. ]

[ she is! reaching out!!! to the tru- I mean, to knock on the door! knock, knock, knock! ]

Is this a Yeet?

... I guess the camp wants its broom back... Or maybe this is like Theo's request...?
[ if she sweeps good enough in there, maybe she'll get a prize! yes, that's definitely how clean-up closets in murder camps work. certainly ]

[ without further ado, he's just gonna try for door number one. I'll take Janitorial for $200
