[The doors do, in fact, open. The lights come to life as they push the door open, and inside they will find an assembly room of sorts. Everything can be seen through the window, meaning that those in opposite rooms can see whatever is happening in the assembly room right in front of them. There is a panel attached to a podium close to the center of the room, where the machines are.
