I just don't see the reason to be so secretive about it. If it's just for something silly to keep us occupied, why not just show off the colors? Rivalry is one thing, but I'm sure you can understand how paranoid some of these people might be.

To keep things fair. Say... You want to do a task, but the only person available is from another team. They know you both get points if they help you out, but their team is way ahead on the scoreboard. If they know which team you're on, they might be a dick about it and refuse to lend a hand.

True. But not knowing at all might just encourage people to not take action at all. Even if it makes sense, I think it might be a little difficult for people to accept. A lot of us have just come from places where we were forced into teams like this. So could you really blame someone for not taking it too well?

Our group didn't have any excuse. I guess that's why I can't help but be a little worried. We didn't have to kill anyone, either. We weren't even encouraged to do that.

Okay, okay, calm down. I'm not hungry for blood, Winter, please don't take it like that. I'm just not planning on sitting back and dying pointlessly just because someone else can't take it anymore. If that means subduing them, then yeah, of course that's what I'll try.

As good enough of a promise as I can give.
If I use force, it's as a final resort, either to save my own life or the life of another that would be lost otherwise. That's something I can't stand down on.
